Welcome to the Dark Ages!
Eireann and the Isle of the Mighty is a World Unit for the Pathwanderer Rôle-Playing system. It is set in the British Isles, including Ireland, or Eireann, between the years 410 and 793 - that is, between the Roman withdrawal and the first Viking raids.
This
is a time of magic, a time of war, a time of death and fire. It is the age
of Vortigern, and his fatal alliance with the Saxons. It is the age of
Arthur and his brief glory. It is an age of saints and of warriors, of
shifting alliances and changing borders. It is, in short, a fine time for
adventure.
You
can be a Celtic freedom fighter, a war-like Pict, a secretive Firbolg or a
proud Gael. Or you can be of the new order - of the Angelcynn, a Saxon or
Englisc inhabitant of one of the new kingdoms. You can be a Warrior, or a
Wicce, a Priest or a Druid, a Poet or an Outlaw, or anything in between.
You can be deep in intrigue, or uncover dastardly plots. You can battle
primal Dweomer, or weave its webs yourself. You can fight evil monsters
from Swarthaelfhaema, or seek the counsel of those who dwell in the
Otherworld.

Two versions will be available here - an HTML version which you can use online, or download for online use whilst you play the game. Alternatively, for the traditionalist GM (or one who doesn't like a computer screen between him and his hapless players), there is a PDF version you can download and print. It doesn't look great on-screen, perhaps because I created it using Ghostwriter (can't afford Adobe Acrobat!) but it prints fine. Each section is 500KB - 1MB in size. I had to split it up because the ISP does not allow files larger than 1MB to be uploaded, and the single Zip file was 4.4MB. All the PDFs are Zipped up so you will need WinZip or a similar utility to open them. You also need Adobe's free Acrobat Reader, downloadable from their website. You probably have it already.
At the moment, only the PDF version is available, because it is taking some time to encode the HTML version. Microsoft Word 2000's 'Export to Compact HTML' option is very good, but does create rather large files.
